A Century and a Half of History
Vinyes d’en Gabriel, with over 150 years of history, began with grandfather Joan Rofes, who planted the first vines in Darmós and made wine at his home. Joan was a strong advocate of organic viticulture and natural cycles. He passed this philosophy on to his descendants, allowing the winery to grow and move to a larger premises in the centre of Darmós.
No chemicals have ever been used, maintaining a vigorous and healthy land. At the beginning of the 21st century, the fourth generation, led by Josep Mª Anguera, has consolidated the current winery, presenting authentic and expressive wines, the result of perseverance and a close bond with the land.
