Dia de Granja ‘Farm Day’
Family leisure experience in the heart of nature: farm animals, playground, picnic areas & parties on the edge of the city
Dia de Granja (the name literally means “Farm Day”) is one of the family experiences featured in the Mapilife Reus Guide. It is an open-air children’s and family leisure centre, surrounded by nature and animals, just a few minutes from the city centre. It’s the perfect plan for families with children, groups of friends or AMPA/AFA outings who want a full day of play, farm time and picnics without spending hours in the car. Children can move freely between animals and play areas, while adults switch off, fire up the barbecue or simply enjoy the surroundings.
Animal Park: meet, touch & learn as a family
The Animal Park is the most educational part of Dia de Granja. The route allows you to get close to the farm animals, touch them or feed them and see how they live in a safe, controlled environment. Horses, donkeys, goats, geese and other species turn the visit into a very hands-on experience for children. For many, it’s their first real contact with these animals. The circuit is completed with a small museum displaying rural tools and objects, ideal for understanding traditional farming life and the territory’s link to the countryside.
Play areas for all ages
The Play Area is the engine of the site: bouncy beds, zip-line, inflatables, climbing wall, soft play (xiquiparc), baby area and swings. There are also table-tennis tables and a multi-sports court so that children don’t stop all day long. It’s a space designed so every age group feels comfortable, from toddlers to pre-teens. Access is via a day ticket and opening hours are long, making it ideal for combining intense playtime with breaks in the park or in the picnic area.
Picnics, BBQ & ‘calçotades’
One of Dia de Granja’s strong points is its picnic and food areas. The venue has a food truck with café-bar service and designated areas for cooking paellas, barbecues and calçotades. You can book a Paella KIT, Barbecue KIT or Table Only option, which include utensils, firewood and basic tableware (plates, cups, cutlery, etc.). You just bring the food and enjoy your meal in a family-friendly setting, with shaded areas and play zones right next to you. During the calçot season they also offer cooked calçots to order, a very practical option if you want to organise a calçotada with kids.
Birthday parties, schools & holiday camps
Dia de Granja also operates as a venue for events and educational leisure activities. On weekdays it is very popular for children’s birthday parties with set menus, kids’ play area and extra activities, as well as for school trips and holiday camps. The activity list includes farm visits, pony or horse rides, a train ride, go-kart circuit, mini-golf, vegetable-garden workshops, mini-disco, face painting, fancy-dress with catwalk, karaoke and storytelling with shadow theatre, always with advance booking and a minimum group size. The aim is for every party or outing to be 100% tailored to the age and needs of each group.
How to get there
Dia de Granja is located on Avinguda Constantí in Reus, with easy access by car and free parking inside the venue. It opens at weekends and on public holidays, roughly from 10:30 to 20:00 throughout the year, with special timetables for Easter, summer and Christmas (we recommend checking their social media for up-to-date information).
