Traditions, the Christmas Park Xic’s & the Kings — the highlights of the season

Salou Christmas Tree 2025

Your essential guide to Christmas in Salou 2025–2026 — explore the full programme and activities

Salou lights up once again with a programme packed with family activities, local traditions and memorable collective moments. From the Royal Pages to the Christmas Park Xic’s, with concerts, workshops and live nativity scenes, the capital of the Costa Daurada presents a full festive calendar that turns every day of December and January into a new opportunity to celebrate.

This year, one of the major attractions is the tallest crochet Christmas tree in Catalonia, now on display at Plaça Bonet. Standing eleven metres high, it is the result of hundreds of hours of handcrafted work — a true symbol of community creativity. An unmissable photo stop and a sign that Christmas has truly arrived.

The festive programme blends long-standing traditions — such as the Pessebre Vivent at the Masia Catalana or the Kings’ Cavalcade — with family-friendly proposals: live music, creative workshops, the roaming Tió Traginer, open play sessions and the Parc de Nadal Xic’s, a guaranteed hit during the school holidays. The programme also includes inclusive spaces such as the Matins Sense Soroll, designed for children with ASD.

The highlight of the season arrives on 5 January, when Their Majesties land at the Port of Salou and parade through the streets towards the Torre Vella, where gifts are handed out in one of the most emotional moments of the festive calendar.

Below you’ll find the complete Christmas programme in Salou 2025–2026: all the dates, times and activities to enjoy the festive season with the whole family.
