Port Museum of Tarragona

Must-visit museum to discover maritime heritage

A look through time: the evolution of the Port of Tarragona since Romans to the present day

The Port Museum of Tarragona, awarded for its architecture and design, exhibits the maritime and port heritage of the Tarragona coast with a tour through history , from the landing of the Romans to the present day. The Museum organizes workshops, theatrical visits and activities for children.

An avant-garde museum

In 2000, the Port Museum was established in an old 20th century warehouse located at the Moll de Costa of the Port. In 2020, a complete renovation of the space was carried out in order to enjoy the cultural experience even more: modern facilities, a layout that allows an integrative discourse with the exhibits and advanced audiovisual and interactive media.

Discover the Port of Tarragona Heritage Route and the commercial, sportive and fishing area of the port. In addition, you can conclude your visit with a 4km walk to the Banya lighthouse in Tarragona.
