Coffee Break (Salou)

This coffee shop in Salou, popular with locals, has a great choice for healthy food lovers with many vegan and vegetarian options, as well as local, natural products. Located in the town centre, this cosy cafe specialises in vegan breakfasts and brunch, poke bowls, fresh salads and healthy dishes. Sama Sama Veggie (Salou)

Located next to the monument of the old Carrilet Train, Sama Sama Veggie is the leading vegan restaurant in Salou. It’s a gastro cafe aimed at lovers of healthy, vegetarian and vegan food. It specialises in vegan dishes and tapas, such as vegetable burgers, burritos or crispy ‘chicken’, as well as 100% vegan cheeses and plant-based bacon. Mexico (Cambrils)

The most authentic Mexican restaurant on the Costa Daurada is located on the border of Cambrils and Salou. On their extensive menu, there are many homemade, traditional Tex-Mex specialities including over twenty vegan options. Choose from  quesadillas, tacos, nachos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas , burgers all 100% vegan.

CReeA (Tarragona)

Focusing on more local cuisine this restaurant promises delicious ecological and vegan options. It is located in the historic centre of Tarragona, inside the Roman wall itself, with a small terrace outside. They are famous for their artisan bread, their plate of the day, traditional omelettes plus a great variety of sweets, cakes and organic smoothies. Ideal for lunch, brunch, tapas and quick meals. CReeA focuses on seasonal produce and fresh cuisine and adds to the vegan options of Tarragona.

El Petit Vegan (Cambrils)

One of the first vegan places to open on the Costa Daurada, this small coffee shop offers homemade tapas, delicious cakes and refreshing smoothies, all 100% vegan. They include veggie burgers, tofu sandwiches and hummus tapas. It’s a cosy bar with a small terrace overlooking the beach of Cambrils.

Herbivore (Reus)

The home of everything vegan in the city of Reus is the fabulous Herbivore. Recommended by HappyCow, this shop in the centre of the city offers a wide range of healthy, vegan, and homemade products. The highlights include homemade fermented cheeses, as well as tofu, creams and vegan sauces. They also have ingredients and spices to buy by the kilo, homemade cookies and cakes, local products and drinks.

Additionally, there is a cosy cafe next to the shop which is open for breakfast or a vegan brunch. It’s a beautifully decorated space where you can relax with a cup of tea or coffee and taste their delicious products. Herbivore is also a meeting point for various events such as workshops and exchange markets. It’s an animal-friendly place, where dogs are not only welcome but are catered to with homemade treats.
