The Costa Daurada reaches its peak with the Nits Daurades of Salou. Enjoy culture, music, and tradition as the nights turn into a festival of colours, light, fire, and joy. From 3rd to 15th August, Salou hosts over twenty free activities for all audiences: traditional events, concerts, performances, and the spectacular fireworks display that lights up the entire Costa Daurada.

Free Events for Everyone
Salou’s main summer festival offers a wide variety of free activities for all tastes and ages. From magic shows to children’s workshops, and concerts featuring different musical styles, the Nits Daurades is an inclusive event that guarantees fun for the whole family.
The Grand Fireworks Display
On 15th August 2024, Salou is set to host one of the most iconic events on the Costa Daurada and during the Nits Daurades (Salou’s Golden Nights): “The Fire Castle.” This magical night begins with the Virgin’s procession, featuring the participation of the Santa Maria del Mar de Salou Fishermen’s Society, and culminates on the Jaume I Promenade with a spectacular fireworks display. This impressive pyrotechnic show lights up the sky with a combination of lights, colours, and music, creating an unforgettable visual and emotional experience for all attendees, making it one of the most anticipated and well-attended events of the summer.
This event will fill the city with people during the day and the Llevant beach during the night, with the show beginning around 11 pm and illuminating the entire Costa Daurada. Following the fireworks, the La Privada orchestra will perform at the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas.

Magic Show
On Thursday, 8th August at 10:30 PM, in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autónomes, magic takes centre stage with a performance by Harry Merlin Piper, winner of the prestigious ‘The Magic Circle’ award. This show, presented with the quality signature of House of Illusion, is one of the top experiences you can find in Salou.
Musical Performances
The ‘Nits Daurades’ offers a variety of musical performances for all tastes. Highlights include the ColdDay tribute to Coldplay, Salsa Night with Agustín Aspa and his band Habana, and tributes to Hombres G and other artists. There will also be concerts featuring local talent and a special concert with the Salou Festival Orchestra. These performances provide an opportunity to relive the great hits of local and international music.
- Tribute to Coldplay with ColdDay: One of the most anticipated moments will be the ColdDay concert, a tribute band to Coldplay that will recreate the great hits of the famous British group. This concert promises to be an unforgettable musical experience for fans.
- Salsa Night: Agustín Aspa and his band Habana will bring the warm rhythms of salsa to the Nits Daurades. This salsa night will be the perfect opportunity to dance and enjoy Latin music in a festive atmosphere.
- Tributes to Hombres G and Other Artists: In addition to the Coldplay tribute, the Nits Daurades will also feature tribute performances to Hombres G and other renowned artists.

Traditional Events
Among the traditional events are the Virgin’s procession, the habaneras gathering, the sardana dance, and the Night of Fire, where devils and other festive groups fill the streets with light and fire. These events celebrate the rich Catalan culture and traditions, offering an authentic experience for locals and visitors alike.
- Virgin’s Procession: The Virgin’s procession is one of the most emotional and traditional events of the Nits Daurades. This procession winds through the streets of Salou, creating an atmosphere of devotion and community that attracts both residents and visitors.
- Habaneras Gathering: The habaneras gathering is an event that celebrates the traditional music of the Costa Dorada. Habanera groups will perform maritime songs that will transport the audience to times past, creating a deep connection with the local culture. It will take place on the evening of Wednesday, 7th August.
- Sardana Dance: The sardana is a traditional Catalan dance, always part of the Nits Daurades celebration. Sardanas are circle dances that symbolize unity and community. They can be seen and danced on Saturday, 10th August at 8 PM, on Paseo Jaume I.
