This weekend is the Tortosa Renaissance Festival, from 20 to 23 July
Every year, on the third weekend in July, the city of Tortosa dresses up. The historic center is being transformed to house various workshops, stalls of local artisans and merchants, musicians, taverns and a wide range of shows and recreations. Procurators – or local rulers – and noble families show off their refined period costumes.
More than 3,000 citizens dress in medieval costumes and perform 60 daily shows, with more than 500 actors. It is a travel to the splendor of Tortosa 500 years ago
